About Dr. Danielle Applebaum

Danielle Applebaum, MD, serves patients at Elite Dermatology in Houston Heights, Texas, providing expert dermatological care. Dr. Applebaum grew up in South Florida and received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Florida, where she graduated cum laude. While at the University of Florida, she was inducted into the esteemed Phi Beta Kappa Society, an academic honor society, and was awarded the Anderson Scholar for Highest Distinction.

Dr. Applebaum moved to Houston to attend Baylor College of Medicine, where she completed her medical school and residency. During her fourth year of medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious medical honor societies, Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Additionally, she was awarded the Stanley W. Olson Award for Academic Excellence and Service, the L. Leighton Hill Award for Medical Student Excellence in Pediatrics, and the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement.

Dr. Applebaum is compassionate and professional, working hard to give the best possible care to each and every one of her patients. She strives to personalize and individualize care based on her patients’ needs. Her interests within medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology include, but are not limited to acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancer screening and management, skin manifestations of internal disease, neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), and dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane). She enjoys attending meetings and workshops to learn from her colleagues and further refine her medical, surgical, and cosmetic knowledge and treatment options. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Houston Dermatologic Society. Dr. Applebaum has published numerous articles in dermatology.

In her free time, Dr. Applebaum enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is an avid baker and enjoys working out, spinning, and hiking.
