What is the Moxi Laser technology?

There are three Moxi Laser levels. Each level offers distinct benefits tailored to specific skin types. The 3 levels are:

Level 1

Prevent & Refresh: is designed to target skin displaying early signs of aging, characterized by uneven skin tones and texture. Employing a low-energy approach, its aim is to proactively mitigate age-related skin changes by promoting enhanced collagen and elastin production.

Level 2

Revitalize & Maintain: is specifically formulated to invigorate aging skin by boosting collagen and elastin levels, leading to a rejuvenated and sustained youthful skin appearance

Level 3

Transform & Renew: is tailored to redefine aging skin by enhancing collagen and elastin, fostering a comprehensive renewal for a more youthful and revitalized complexion.

How does Moxi Laser work?

The Moxi Laser harnesses the power of a gentle yet highly effective non-ablative 1927nm wavelength, specifically targeting water within cells. This innovative approach collaborates with the body’s natural healing processes, ensuring a gentle treatment with minimal downtime. By delivering non-ablative laser energy, Moxi corrects the early signs of sun damage and aging, offering a versatile solution suitable for all seasons and skin types. The result is a radiant and clear complexion.

How long does it take?

Prior to the procedure, a numbing cream is applied 30-60 minutes in advance, ensuring enhanced comfort during the treatment. The actual procedure is remarkably swift, usually wrapping up within 20 minutes, providing a streamlined and efficient experience.

What to Expect During Your Treatment Journey

Anticipate a downtime of 24 hours post-treatment, during which your skin may exhibit a temporary redness and, depending on the treatment level, small microdots referred to as ‘mends’ may be visible at the laser application sites. Makeup can be comfortably resumed after this period. Noticeable results typically emerge within 5-7 days. For optimal outcomes, it is recommended to undergo 2-4 sessions spaced 4-5 weeks apart.

Moxi Laser Frequently Asked Questions

What does the MOXI laser actually do?

MOXI is a non-ablative fractionated laser designed to improve skin texture, tone, and pigmentation. It works by creating micro-coagulation zones in the skin, triggering the body’s natural repair process to correct sun damage, reduce melasma, and provide “pre-juvenation” for a brighter complexion.

What is the downtime after a MOXI treatment?

Downtime is minimal, typically lasting 12 to 48 hours. You may experience mild redness and a “sandpaper” texture (micro-epithelial necrotic debris or MENDs) for several days. However, you can apply makeup and return to normal activities immediately the following day.

Is the MOXI laser painful?

Most patients describe the sensation as a light prickling or warming of the skin. To ensure comfort, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for approximately 30–45 minutes prior to the procedure, making the actual 15-minute treatment very tolerable.

Is MOXI laser safe for all skin types?

Yes. One of MOXI’s primary advantages is that it is safe for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI) and can be performed year-round. Its gentle approach minimizes the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, making it an ideal choice for patients with darker skin tones or melasma.

How many MOXI sessions are needed to see results?

While you may see an improved glow after just one session, an initial series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4 to 5 weeks apart is recommended for corrective results. Afterward, one or two maintenance sessions per year are suggested to sustain long-term skin health.
