Collagen-Stimulating Filler for Facial Rejuvenation and Body Contouring
Serving Houston, Fulshear, Pearland, Kingwood, Heights, River Oaks, and Vintage Park
Age-related volume loss, skin laxity, and changes in skin texture can make you look older than you feel. At Elite Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, we offer Radiesse® treatments in Houston to restore structure, improve skin quality, and refine contours by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production.
Our experienced providers bring advanced medical training and aesthetics expertise to every treatment, and your care is tailored based on your anatomy and cosmetic goals to achieve balanced, natural-looking results.
Whether you want to define your jawline, rejuvenate aging hands, address crepey skin, or lift and firm the buttocks, Radiesse® offers a non-surgical solution with both immediate and progressive improvements.
What Is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved biostimulatory dermal filler used to restore volume, enhance face and body contours, and rejuvenate aging skin. This cosmetic injectable is made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel carrier. It sits right between hyaluronic acid filler and Sculptra® in its action in the body.
After injection, the gel provides immediate support and volume like a hyaluronic acid filler while the CaHA microspheres stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin over time. As your body gradually absorbs the gel, the newly developed collagen helps maintain smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
What Can Radiesse® Treat?
Radiesse® is a highly versatile injectable treatment that can be used on both the face and body.
Facial Rejuvenation
Radiesse® shines in its ability to provide long-lasting structure and support. We commonly use Radiesse® for:
- Cheek and midface support
- Pre-jowl folds
- Chin projection and definition
- Jawline contouring
- Volume loss in the lower face
- Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
- Marionette lines
Radiesse® can also be blended into a softer product that adds generalized volume to the full face including the temples, cheeks, and lower face, similar to the way we use Sculptra®.
Hand Rejuvenation
The hands are often one of the first areas to show visible signs of aging. Radiesse® can replace lost volume to reduce the appearance of prominent veins and tendons while improving skin texture.
Neck and Décolletage Rejuvenation
Hyperdilute Radiesse® can improve crepey skin, fine lines, and skin laxity in delicate areas such as the neck and chest.
Body Contouring and Skin Tightening
Radiesse® is also used in non-surgical body rejuvenation procedures to address:
- Skin laxity
- Crepey skin
- Stretch marks
- Mild contour irregularities
Treatment areas may include:
- Buttocks
- Abdomen
- Arms
- Knees
- Thighs
Our Approach to Radiesse®
At Elite Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, we understand that Radiesse® treatments require consideration of both your immediate concerns and your long-term aesthetic goals. Whether you want to address volume loss, reduce wrinkles, or enhance body contours, our goal is always to achieve results that complement your unique anatomy.
Our approach prioritizes gradual, refined improvements that look natural and age gracefully. During your consultation, we carefully evaluate your concerns, so we can develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs.
What to Expect During Your Radiesse® Appointment
Radiesse® treatments are performed in-office at our Houston-area locations and typically take between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the treatment area. Your provider will first assess the treatment site to determine the appropriate injection sites. Your injections will then be administered using a fine needle.
A topical numbing cream may be applied before treatment, and lidocaine is often mixed with the product to minimize discomfort. Most patients tolerate this treatment well.
What to Expect After Radiesse® Injections
Patients can usually return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment, though strenuous exercise, excessive heat exposure, and vigorous massage of the treated areas should be avoided for the first 24 to 48 hours.
Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur around the injection sites. These effects are temporary and dissipate within about a week.
Your provider will give you personalized aftercare instructions based on the treatment area and your specific procedure.
When to Expect Radiesse® Results
Patients often notice immediate improvements in volume following treatment. However, one of the major benefits of Radiesse® is gradual collagen stimulation. Noticeable smoothing and firming can continue to progress for two to four months after your injections, rejuvenating your complexion and further refining contours.
Results can last 12 to 18 months in many facial treatment areas. Radiesse® can provide longer-lasting results when used for body contouring, with many patients enjoying their enhanced look for two years or more.
Radiesse® vs. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
While Radiesse® and hyaluronic acid fillers are both effective anti-aging and contouring treatments, they work differently. Hyaluronic acid fillers primarily provide hydration and temporary volume. Radiesse®, on the other hand, provides structural support while stimulating your body’s own collagen production.
Radiesse® is often a better option for:
- Areas requiring more structural support
- Jawline and chin contouring
- Skin quality improvement
- Hand rejuvenation
- Body rejuvenation treatments
During your consultation, we will determine whether Radiesse®, a hyaluronic acid filler, or a combination approach is best suited to your goals.

- Have noticed volume loss, skin laxity, crepey skin, or age-related changes in the face, hands, or body
- Want to improve skin firmness and texture through collagen stimulation
- Are interested in non-surgical rejuvenation or contour enhancement
- Want longer-lasting results than some traditional fillers provide
- Would like to address concerns such as aging hands, neck or chest crepiness, or mild contour irregularities
- Prefer natural-looking improvements that develop gradually over time
While Radiesse® is highly versatile, it is not the best option for every treatment area. Because it provides significant structural support, it is generally not used in the lips or the delicate under-eye area, where other injectable treatments may be more appropriate.
The best way to find out if you are a candidate is through a consultation with one of our experienced providers.
