About Dr. Jessica Boulavsky

Jessica Boulavsky, MD, FAAD, serves patients throughout Vintage Park, Houston, TX as a board-certified dermatologist. At Elite Dermatology, she offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic services and enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Boulavsky is known for her friendliness and upbeat personality and believes in patient-centered care where decisions are made jointly. She enjoys all aspects of general dermatology with a special interest in acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer screenings.

Dr. Boulavsky was born just south of Houston, where she attended high school. She then competed in Division 1 volleyball at Rice University as a 4-year letter winner. While maintaining her practice and travel schedule, she also achieved higher than a 4.0 GPA and graduated summa cum laude as the top 5% of her classmates.

Dr. Boulavsky spent time in Bolivia and Ecuador during the summers volunteering and learning Spanish. These experiences enabled her to serve as a medical Spanish intern for the international services department of interpreters at Memorial Hermann Hospital and continue to help her with her care today. She earned several awards, including 1st Team Academic All-American honors through the NCAA and Rice’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the year twice. Dr. Boulavsky was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi honor societies and won postgraduate merit scholarships for medical school through the Rice Athletic Association, Rice pre-medical society, and the NCAA.

She then moved across the street to attend Baylor College of Medicine, where she earned the Foster and BCM merit award and scholarship as well as the Carlos and Doris Morris presidential excellence award and scholarship. As a third-year medical student, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, which was given to the top four students of her class, and graduated with high honors.

Dr. Boulavsky stayed local for her residency training at the Houston Methodist Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine Department of Dermatology. There she was fortunate to train with world-class faculty and continue her history of academic success and achievement alongside Drs. Wang, Rizk, and Applebaum.

Upon graduating, Dr. Boulavsky followed her physician husband to New England, where she practiced in the Boston suburbs and outside of New Hampshire. She learned to embrace all four seasons and bought a real winter coat for the first time. Though she loved her time there with her talented colleagues and phenomenal patients, she and her husband are excited to be returning to their home in Houston and for Dr. Boulavsky to join her friends and colleagues at Elite Dermatology.

While not working or attending dermatology conferences and workshops, Dr. Boulavsky enjoys travel, exercise, walking her 11-year-old German Shepherd, and spending time with her nephew.
