Dr. Diana Mannschreck, MD, FAAD sees patients as a board-certified dermatologist five days per week in the Kingwood office. She offers medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology and enjoys taking care of the entire family.
Dr. Mannschreck grew up in northwest Montana in the foothills of beautiful Glacier National Park. She was a National Merit Scholar and completed a full International Baccalaureate diploma during high school. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where she majored in nursing and met her husband, who is from rural Idaho. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was one of only two students to receive the President’s Medal out of a graduating class of almost 8,000.
After practicing nursing in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit for two years in the Seattle area, Dr. Mannschreck completed her premedical studies, first at the University of Washington and then at Duke University. She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was co-chair of her college and authored numerous research studies on infantile hemangiomas under the mentorship of world-renowned pediatric dermatologist Dr. Bernard Cohen. With a special interest in pediatric dermatology, Dr. Mannschreck completed her intern year in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina where she served on the Nurse-Resident Communication Committee and the Neonatal ICU Skin Committee. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Virginia, where she served on the University Housestaff Council. She remained active in research, presenting her work at the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology annual conferences. She was awarded the Society for Pediatric Dermatology’s Case of the Year for her presentation on hypertrophic facial scarring secondary to adhesives and Rhizomucor infection in a micro-preemie. Dr. Mannschreck also completed additional training in cosmetic dermatology including advanced injection techniques with neurotoxins and dermal fillers, Instalift threads, lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, IPL, PDL, Triton, Nd:Yag, and Alexandrite), and devices such as Morpheus8, truSculpt, Ultherapy, CoolSculpt, EmSculpt, and Miradry.
Dr. Mannschreck offers treatment of common as well as rare skin conditions and enjoys complex medical dermatology. She is passionate about skin cancer detection and treatment and prides herself on detecting skin cancers including melanoma at early stages. Having had eczema since childhood and having undergone treatment with Accutane for acne as a young adult, Dr. Mannschreck understands the profound effects that skin conditions can have on quality of life and self-esteem. She prioritizes listening to her patient’s concerns and her patients describe her as soft-spoken and kind. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society.
Dr. Mannschreck lives in Kingwood with her husband Will. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, working out at Lifetime Fitness, cheering for the Texans and the Astros, exploring the Museum of Fine Arts, attending the Houston Ballet and the Houston Symphony, and trying new restaurants.
