Yasmin Khalfe, MD, is a dermatologist dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. A Houston native, she graduated magna cum laude from Clements High School, where she served as Senior Class President and played varsity volleyball. She then attended Rice University, where she participated in the BioSciences Honors Research Program, served as President of her residential college, and was awarded the Olga Keith Wiess Service Award and the Dean of Undergraduates Certificate of Recognition for her outstanding leadership and service.
She then earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where she graduated with Honors and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society for her academic excellence and professionalism. During medical school, Dr. Khalfe was elected Class President by her peers and worked closely with faculty and administration. She also served as President of Baylor’s American Medical Women’s Association. Her contributions earned her multiple accolades, including the Baylor College of Medicine Women of Excellence Award and the Dean’s Distinction in Service Learning.
Dr. Khalfe completed internal medicine internship at Tulane University, where she was honored with the University Medical Center Difference Maker Award for outstanding patient care. She then returned to Houston for dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and served as Wellness Chief Resident, leading initiatives that underscored her passion for holistic well-being in overall health. On a national level, she was selected as a Resident Ambassador for the American Academy of Dermatology and volunteered at AAD’s Camp Discovery, mentoring children with chronic dermatologic conditions.
Dr. Khalfe values compassionate, empathetic care and enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients. Through her leadership and life experiences, she has developed effective communication, problem solving, and the ability to connect with patients of all backgrounds, cultures, and ages. She has dealt with skin conditions herself and knows firsthand the profound impact a skilled and supportive dermatologist can have on a patient’s life.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring world cuisines, working out with her fiancé, discovering the best coffeeshops in Houston, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her cat, Simba.
