Ellie Workman, MD serves the Houston Heights community at Elite Dermatology, offering compassionate and comprehensive care in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. A melanoma survivor herself, she is especially passionate about skin cancer detection and treatment. Dr. Workman also specializes in treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, hair loss, eczema, and psoriasis. Originally from The Woodlands, just north of Houston, Dr. Workman attended the Academy of Science & Technology at College Park High School. She went on to major in biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. Upon returning to Houston, she completed her medical school and dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. During her time there, she served as President of the Dermatology Interest Group, volunteered frequently with A Children’s House—a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with skin conditions—and received the Dean’s Distinction in Service Learning for her initiative to promote skin cancer education and prevention among Houston’s homeless population. Dr. Workman is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Houston Dermatologic Society. She is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dermatology to provide the highest standard of care to her patients. Her personal experiences as a patient have deeply influenced Dr. Workman’s approach to care. She understands firsthand the impact that skin conditions can have on confidence and quality of life. This drives her to build lasting connections with her patients and deliver empathetic, patient-centered care that empowers them to love the skin they’re in. Outside of medicine, Ellie loves spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. She enjoys staying active, and after work you will find her at a group fitness class or training for her next race.
